..dno< sound theater

..dno< sound theater – is an experimental collaboration duo of Denis Sorokin (Saint-Petersburg, Russia) and Sergei Tumanov (Melbourne, Australia). Since August 2014 the project already has released 5 full-length albums on Poverty Electronics (USA) and has twice taken part in experimental artists compilations released by Linear Obsessional Recordings (UK). Currently project is mainly working with Australian NCTMMRN.

The project performed at several major art events, festivals and contemporary art exhibitions in Russia and Europe (including such festivals as “Art Night / Ночь Музеев”, “Open Look”, “Aposition” (Saint-Petersburg, Russia); “Disainiöö” (Tallinn, Estonia); “Akusmata” (Helsinki, Finland), “Performance Art Festival – PerfImmaterial 2017” (Pori, Finland); and many others.

The project is also presenting sound and video installations which were shown in Berlin (Germany), Tallinn (Estonia), Saint-Petersburg (Russia) and Melbourne (Australia).
..dno< sound theater is mainly working with such styles as experimental electronic, drone and ambient music.

During live performances in collaboration with DIPP theater (..dno< sound theater is as well duo as a collaboration with actors from DIPP theater) the main task of duo, as musicians, is to put the sound development on the concept of a live theater, as a synthesis of electroacoustic improvisation and stage action. Also by paying attention to the productions of sound dramaturgy and scenography.
