About the release:
NCT010 – Wodwo – Songs of Woden’s Ley
Wodwo – guitar, electronics
Recorded, mixed and produced by Ray Robinson, England (UK).

Recorded with a guitar and a sparse smattering of electronics in a small attic bedroom, “Songs of Woden’s Ley” is Wodwo’s most moving album in years. It is minimal in its approach and, consequently, its sound. The 11 tracks are full of ghostly arrangements and foreboding guitar harmonies under a thick film of reverb, but these new pieces are often slippery and strange, and the gauziness and the hand-worn nature suits these lonely, often glacial tunes, inspired by the drama of the bleak landscape of his childhood. It is the sound of a landscape lived in slow motion, both wordless and drumless, but never aimless.
Artwork for the album is made by Australian artist Christopher Crouch.
Christopher Crouch is a Perth-based writer and artist represented by Gallery East.
